Newborn Cloth Diaper Rental

How does it work?

• Choose the styles and quantities of diapers you would like - you will receive all NEW diapers!  Each style is available in quantities of 6 - 30, in multiples of 6.  If you are interested in a less expensive option, we also offer these same diapers/packages in gently used condition - availability will vary and there is a waiting list for these packages.  You have 2 options for getting on the gently used waiting list:
• (Recommended) You may go ahead and reserve a new package and simply check off the option that says "Sub Gently Used Diapers if Available". This will add you to the gently used package waiting list and if we have availability when it's time to ship your rental diapers we will simply sub them out for the new diapers you reserved and issue you a refund for the difference in pricing. That way, you're guaranteed to receive diapers - one way or another - in time for your little one's arrival.
• Alternatively, you may add yourself to the gently used package waiting list without reserving new diapers. Simply choose the gently used diaper selections and quantities you prefer, enter your due date, and then add yourself to the Gently Used packages waiting list. We will be in touch with you at least 3 to 4 weeks ahead of your estimated due date (and often 6 to 8 weeks ahead) to let you know if we have diapers available for you and you will be invoiced at that time if we are able to reserve a package for you. Once you're notified that we have a gently used package in stock it is vital that you complete payment for your invoice on that package promptly or you will risk losing it.
• Want to get an idea of gently used package availability near your due date prior to adding yourself to the waiting list or reserving a new package?  Or need diapers ASAP and wondering if we may have unmatched packages on hand?  No problem, simply contact us!

• Enter your requested rental period start date - if you are expecting this would be your estimated due date.  Your diapers will be shipped so you'll receive them approximately 2 weeks ahead of your edd.  Or, if your baby has already been born we will ship your diapers out as soon as possible - please be aware it may take 1-3 weeks for your diapers to arrive if we don't currently have them in stock.  To ensure your package arrives within the time frame of 2 weeks ahead of your requested start date please be sure to order your rental program at least 5 weeks ahead of time - or contact us prior to placing your order to find out what we have available to ship out right away. If your order is placed with less time than that we will make every effort to get them to you as quickly as possible.
• Agree to the terms of use, then pay your fee & refundable deposit.  (Please note rewards points, coupons & discounts are not valid for use on rentals.) (shipping & insurance rates)
• Pre-wash your excellent new stash of modern cloth diapers...then simply use & wash them for 12 weeks!  Your rental period begins on your baby's birth date, or the day you receive your package if your baby has already arrived.   Please see our FAQ's page for more details.  Full wash & care instructions are included with your shipment - and we are readily available through phone or email if you ever have any questions!
• Return all of the diapers to us, postmarked within 3 business days after your rental period end date - we'll provide you with a shipping label, and you can re-use the packaging we send them to you in! We typically send them to you using a really nifty biodegradable bag that has a second adhesive closure on it so you can re-seal it to send diapers back to us! If it's more economical, you may receive them in a flat rate shipping box. Please note, you are responsible for the cost of the return shipping, and we do highly recommend insuring your shipment - however, you may ship them back to us via the least expensive shipping option available to you (which is generally going to be the same way you receive them from us).
• Once we've received the diapers (clean, dry, and in good condition) you have the following options for the return of your deposit:
• Store Credit with 30% bonus (for example, if your deposit was $60 you will receive a $78 credit!)
• Reverse Store Credit* with a 30% bonus
• Refund via PayPal

*Reverse Store Credit: Don’t want to have to spend any time without diapers? Simply place a new order about a week before your rental end date and enter a note stating that you’re electing for reverse store credit on your rental package deposit. You can wait until you receive the new diapers before sending your rental diapers back to us. Once we receive your shipment we will treat it as store credit (so you get the 30% bonus!) and we’ll simply apply it as a refund against the payment you made on the new order!

If you've fallen in love with cloth diapering and just adore the newborn diapers and wish you could keep them for your next baby... now you'll have the option to purchase all or some of the diapers, rather than returning them! Simply contact us and we'll give you the cost breakdown based on the types of diapers you have and the condition you received them in (new vs gently used) - in some cases it may be as simple as forfeiting your deposit!

Your options for the rental packages include the following diapers, covers, and boosters:

*Covers/wraps are needed but not included with prefolds or fitteds - we recommend adding 1 cover or wrap per 3 - 4 prefolds/fitteds to your rental package.  We also suggest purchasing 1 or 2 Snappi fasteners to go with your prefolds.

**The preemie prefolds and newborn size Super Lite will only fit up to ~9 lbs and ~10 lbs, respectively - your baby will likely grow out of these sizes well before the 12 weeks is up!  We suggest you order BOTH sizes of the prefolds and covers to get you through the full 12 weeks with these options.  NO fees will be refunded for early returns on these items!  The preemie size prefolds also make a great booster for the other diaper options!

Cost:  Your upfront cost is the fee + deposit shown on the charts below, based on the package types and quantities you select. For example, to reserve a 6-pack of bumGenius newborn aio's in new condition you will pay $50 - $35 of that is your rental fee for the full 12 weeks, and the $15 deposit will be refunded to you (via PayPal payment) once the diapers are returned in good condition. If you choose store credit, or reverse store credit, for the return of your deposit then you will receive a 30% bonus!
